Cairo & the Great Pyramids
It’s big, random and an out of this world experience. Cairo is bustling with a huge variety of extremes of life and it always intrigues. The people are super friendly and have a great ‘banana-skin’ sense of humour. A day trip to Cairo takes in the Pyramids, museum, the peaceful life on the Nile and the hectic bustle of the city streets.

Mount Sinai & St Catherine’s Monastery
Trekking to the summit of Mount Sinai by Moonlight is rewarded by a stunning sunset over the mountainous desert and is an altogether surreal experience. St Catherine’s monastery at the foot of the mountain is run by monks of the Greek Orthodox order. They guard the precious ancient artifacts that are housed there but allow visitors to visit their chapel in the morning.

Ras Sudr - Local Town
The local town is totally untouristic and offers a view of real Egyptian life, which is probably best taken in over a cup of tea from one of their street shisha bars. You may well be the only westerner there but the people are very friendly and overjoyed if you buy some fruit or some of the fantastic sticky cake specialties of Egypt. If Red Bull gives you wings, these give you a turbo injected V8!
